SUMMARY:An introduction to customer journey mapping
DESCRIPTION:Want to understand and improve the experience of being housed by your organisation? Mapping the customer journey is a powerful tool that many UK housing organisations use to understand the tenant experience so they can improve their services. \nCHIA Vic is running an online training session on Customer Journey Mapping by Richard Walker from the UK’s Housing Quality Network. The session is for housing staff and managers who are keen to take a tenant-centred service approach to service delivery. Richard successfully developed complaints services and resolved ongoing issues for housing services. \nThis three-hour interactive session will introduce the mapping framework and the insights it can provide\, including examples of how it can be used in the housing sector. \nThe practical session will take you through the development of a map how to use make your services more streamlined\, efficient and effective\, resolve persistent complaints and better target your limited budget. \n

SUMMARY:Community Housing Aboriginal Cultural Safety Framework
DESCRIPTION:Cultural Awareness Training \nRecently Ministers Wynne and Williams launched the Framework in a virtual member’s meeting where a number of CHO CEOs committed their organisations to work towards having a culturally safe service and workplace. You can view the videos of the CEOs committing to the framework\, an Aboriginal tenant and Aboriginal employee talking about the impact of dealing with a culturally-safe organisation\, and report consultant Jenny Samms talking about the next steps on our website. \nHave Your Staff Undertaken Cultural Awareness Training? \nCHIA Vic has partnered with the Victorian Aboriginal Community Services Association (VACSAL) to deliver cultural awareness training in the context of the new Community Housing Aboriginal Cultural Safety Framework. \nThis course will give participants an increased understanding of the historical and cultural events that continue to impact on Aboriginal communities and individuals. It will examine the impact of racism and stereotyping and look at ways to break down barriers to working effectively with Aboriginal organisations and individuals. \nWhilst the training does not cover the implementation of the framework\, it will provide participants with a sound base to assist their organisation to begin the process of adopting the framework. \nNote: CHIA Vic can also organise tailored training for those CHOs that want to run a session in-house\, please contact Holly Mullaney for details.
