Dealing with Goods Left Behind

From 29 March 2021, Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) no longer undertake goods left behind inspections. Changes to the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 provide a revised process for managing goods left behind.

This objectives of this workshop are to:

  • Give delegates confidence to deal with goods left behind
  • Understand the law and appreciate a residential rental provider’s responsibilities
  • Differentiate between goods that can be disposed of, prescribed goods and goods of monetary value
  • Learn how to calculate monetary value versus the costs of storage
  • Discuss best practice in unusual situations
  • Discover how to deal with deceased estates

The workshop takes a blended learning approach which provides fantastic added value:

  • A 2.5 hour on-line workshop with a 10 minute comfort break
