NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA): What is it and what is happening?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is funding the largest growth of housing for people with disability in Australia’s history adding 10,000 new SDA places and beginning the redevelopment of the existing 17,000 SDA places.  This housing is being funded by a recurrent commercial subsidy in the open market bringing many new players to the table including private developers and investors.

The seminar will cover the key elements of SDA and emerging trends including:

  • Important definitions and documents
  • Growth trends
  • Development and Operational Roles
  • Key players
  • Comparisons between States
  • Policies and practice
  • Development initiatives

The presenter will be Joseph Connellan of MC Two Pty Ltd who provides strategic and operational advice to developers and operators of housing for NDIS participants around Australia.
