Due to popular demand, this forum is being run for a second time for people who were not able to attend the first forum.
There have recently been significant changes to the RTA and the way VCAT hearings are being run, and this forum is being held to support information sharing and practice improvement within the community housing sector through a facilitated discussion of VCAT related issues and solutions.
Who should attend: Housing workers and managers with recent experience in managing VCAT cases who can share their VCAT knowledge and experience and learn from others in the community housing sector. Attendees must have at least 2 years of experience in tenancy management.
What topics will be covered: Presenting cases via phone/Zoom; managing termination cases during the eviction moratorium period; communicating with professional housing advocates; managing lengthy and complex hearings. Please email through other topics you would like to include.
